Dr. Gurappa Shetty Gojanur

Dr. Gurappa brings with him nearly four decades of distinguished clinical experience in cardiac sciences. He has held senior clinical and leadership positions at reputed institutions, including the Narayana Institute of Cardiac Sciences, St. Johns Medical College, BHU Varanasi and Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS). His clinical expertise spans primary angioplasty (PTCA), coronary angiography, structural heart interventions, heart valve repair, balloon valvuloplasty, heart failure management and pacemaker implantation.

On the academics front, Dr. Gurappa started as an Asst. Professor and went up to the post of Professor at the St. Johns Medical College for 18 years. He worked for NH as an academic coordinator for DNB programs and he has now come here to take charge of the academic programs for the DM program as a Professor and HOD. He has rendered service as an examiner for DM and DNB Cardiology courses in various universities.

He has rich experience in clinical trials and has worked in the Clinical Research Unit of Cardiology at St. Johns and has been a principal investigator in more than 10 trials.
