Dr V S Prakash heads the Department of Cardiology and is the Chief of Arrhythmia services at the unit. More than 10000 complex invasive coronary interventions, and nearly 2000 device implantations – numbers that speak experience, aptitude and the care that goes into each patient. He is well versed with the latest in CIED care and electrophysiology, LAAC, leadless pacemakers and complex arrhythmia ablation are his area of special interest. He is the principle investigator on numerous path breaking international clinical trials that have changed the current day guidelines in the management of cardiovascular disease. An exemplary teacher and a clinician beyond par, post graduate students and fellows practicing worldwide are a testament to the same.
