Overview
Currently, Professor and Head of Anaesthesiology. She joined the institute in 1998 and has vast UG and PG teaching experience of over 20 years. She is a proficient, highly skilled and empathetic perioperative physician, well versed in dealing from paediatric to geriatric patients. She has been trained in NHS, United Kingdom. She has special interest in Obstetric Anaesthesia, Transplant Anaesthesia, Onco anaesthesia, Difficult Airway, Trauma and Pain Management. One of the key persons instrumental in implementing the popular labour analgesia programme of the department. She has keen interest in simulation based training, and has amalgamated Skills based training into the Interns and Post Graduate training programs. She has organized several Simulation workshops at National and State Level. She has 25 publications in various national and international journals to her credit. She is an invited faculty for various International and National Conferences. She is certified instructor for the resuscitation courses like BLS, ACLS and ITLS.
