Dr. Harshavardhan Rao is a Professor and senior consultant of Gastroenterology. He completed his DM Gastroenterology from Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Kochi; following which he has completed a one-year fellowship in Advanced therapeutic endoscopy. He has also trained in therapeutic EUS from Copenhagen, Denmark and Bariatric endoscopy from leading institutes in India. He values a patient-centric approach in clinical medicine and is determined to bring his vast skillset together in a concerted effort towards raising the quality of patient care. He has a keen interest in research and is a renowned academician. He has been invited to various universities abroad to deliver lectures and showcase his research in the field of endoscopy. He has received multiple government grants in projects involving clinical, community studies and translational research. This rich academic background coupled with strong foundational and advanced clinical/endoscopic skillset strengthens his ultimate vision to achieve excellence in patient care.
