Cardiology Paediatrics

Paediatric department is functioning as one of the main broad speciality department since the beginning of Ramaiah Memorial hospital started in 2004. The department works towards comprehensive growth of the child from neonatal to adolescent with all sub specialities. Department is staffed with highly qualified, well trained & dedicated doctors and nurses, capable of handling all kinds of emergencies in children round the clock. The services are provided through child friendly outpatient unit, well maintained wards & state of the art neonatal & paediatric Intensive care units. Neonatal ICU is manned with highly qualified & experienced neonatologists, skilled & compassionate nursing staff. We provide care to all kinds of problems of newborns including care of extremely premature infants, therapeutic hypothermia for hypoxic infants and HFOV to name some of them. Paediatric ICU is headed by a senior Intensivist and team of doctors. We have experience of successfully treating many serious conditions in children over years. We provide retrieval services for sick children from referral hospitals. The Consultants are specialized in various paediatric specialties and run specialty clinics like respiratory, nephrology, adolescent health, genetics, development, neurology, hematology, endocrine and rheumatology. Through the speciality clinics we are providing care for multiple complex ailments in the children. The department conducts CME’s & workshops on recent updates with hands on training to both Undergraduates & Postgraduates and fellow colleagues from academic bodies & conducts periodically Paediatric advanced life support & Neonatal advanced life support courses regularly.
