Overview
The Psychiatry department comprises of a team of Psychiatrists and Clinical Psychologists who specialize is assessment and individualized treatment of Psychiatric disorders and problems related to stress, emotions and behaviour. The team also works closely with medical and surgical departments to address psychological and psychiatric problems associated with physical illnesses. There are qualified psychiatrists available for different specialities including care of elderly, children and adolescents, women, and general adults.

- Adult Psychiatry: The team is specialized in treating mood, psychotic, anxiety and stress related disorders.
- Addiction: Specializes in treatment of substance and behavioral addictions
- Geriatric psychiatry: Specialized in addressing dementia and psychological disturbances associated with aging
- Child and adolescent psychiatry: Specialized in assessing neurodevelopmental disorders and emotional/behavioral problems in children and adolescents with appropriate treatment
- 5. Suicide Prevention Clinic: Specializes in prevention of suicidal and non-suicidal behaviors
- 6. Consultation Liaison Psychiatry: Treatment of psychiatric and physical conditions in collaboration with medical and surgical specialities

- 7. Assessments: IQ, Learning disability, Personality assessments, Diagnostic psychometry
- 8. Psychological Interventions: Individual/couple/family therapies such as Cognitive behaviour therapy psychodynamic psychotherapies, Behavioral Therapies , and third wave therapies.
